Ringing in a new year is an age old tradition, one that often entails attending a celebration and having a few cocktails. Somtimes, a few becomes too many. Law enforcement officials recommend you have a plan before venturing out. If you’ll be drinking, you should arrange for a safe return home. Police will be on the lookout for intoxicated drivers. A designated driver is a good idea. So is a cab, Uber, or Lyft, and they’re a lot less costly than a DUI. Nobody wants to start 2024 in jail…or worse.
