Gameday Men’s Health is a health clinic located here in Lafayette that specializes in TRT, or Testosterone Replacement Therapy. In addition, they offer plenty of other health-related services and do so in a relaxed sports-based environment. Owners JD Dugas and Don Benoit sat down with us to give more information about the business.
What is Gameday Men’s Health and what is its purpose?
The main purpose of why it started was for men suffering from low testosterone. It has then evolved into other avenues such as erectile dysfunction, weight loss, vitamin injections, and more. The goal is to get men feeling better and more like their old self.
Do you find that men are uncomfortable talking about these types of things when they come into the clinic?
I think you would be surprised on how many men do talk about it, especially in this atmosphere. In this clinic, we have a man cave setting, and guys are able to talk about it and get it all out on the table. In the public, it is different. I can understand that. But here, it is talked about every day and it is wide open.
For someone who is interested in learning more, what should they do?
You can definitely get answers to some of your questions on our website, but I would say call the clinic and they can give you a lot of information. There is also an option to send a message on our website which is all private. We know folks in south Louisiana like to talk to people, and we encourage that. Call us and ask us questions. It is also free to come in. Our consult is free, and in 45 minutes to an hour, we will have your levels and can come up with a plan of care.
What does the process look like after the first visit?
If you become a member, your meds are shipped to your front door. Once the clinician clears you after 30-90 days and gets the levels where they need to be, you come every six months.
What are some of the other popular services right now?
New year, new you. We have had a lot of inquiries about our weight loss program recently. We can do weight loss injections tailored to anyone’s needs. One guy may want to administer is own injections at his house. One guy may want to come into the clinic to get weekly injections. We can tailor it to each client’s preferences. We also offer different types of peptides, such as one that helps you build muscle mass.
