If you’re looking for a pet, the Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center has plenty of potential pets that need a home. They’re holding an “Empty The Shelter” event through Saturday, October 14th. Adoption fees will be waived through the duration of the event. LASCC has partnered with the Bissell Pet Foundation to make this possible. Bissell will reimburse LASCC for the adoption fees. Previous events this year have found homes for more than 200 pets. The shelter currently has an abunance of large breed dogs available for adoption, as well as cats and smaller dogs. Adoption fees for military and senior citizens are waived year round. All pets are microchipped, fully vaccinated, and spayed or neutered.
