The City of Carencro, Super One Foods, the Kiwanis Club of Carencro, and other businesses and individuals have come together to create the first-ever Greater Carencro Food Drive taking place on Saturday, September 28.

The event will be held at Super One Foods in Carencro from 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. and will benefit local food pantries.

Items such as canned meats, dried beans and fruits, peanut butter, canned milk, and basics such as sugar, flour, oil, and others are accepted. The event will accept anything non-perishable, but these items are of most need.

Volunteers are also needed for this event. Interested people can receive more information by calling 337-296-1777 or emailing [email protected].

This event will benefit area food pantries in Acadiana.
