Louisiana is awarding a stimulus check to certain essential workers. This Wednesday, Louisiana workers will be able to apply and possibly receive the $250 stimulus check.

You could qualify if worked with the public during the initial stay-at-order and if you made less than $50,000 as an annual salary. An essential worker is anyone who kept working during the pandemic and interacted with the public. For example, a grocery store employee, healthcare worker, police officer, nurse, bus driver, or any job that involves working with the public, could qualify.

So, if you drove to your office on a daily basis while friends and family stayed home, you could receive money in the near future. More details will be announced on Wednesday.

Applications will be accepted through the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
