Famed Author of, the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ book series is set to appear at Lafayette Middle School on November 1, 2022 at 6pm.
The Wimpy Kid author, Jeff Kinney is on a book tour to showcase the latest installment of the popular Wimpy Kid series. His stops in Louisiana include Lafayette and New Orleans. This new series, “Diper Överlöde” takes a different turn and follows the main character Greg’s old brother Roderick.
The stop was made possible by Lafayette Public Library Foundation, Beausoleil Books, and Love Our Schools.
The Diper Överlöde Tour will be a concert that will be featuring a performance by a real-life Löded Diper band. Author Jeff Kinney personally discovered this copycat band on TikTok. Audience members will also get to meet Jeff Kinney in person.
Tickets are available through EventBrite.
Attendees will receive signed copies of the book at the performance.
The ‘Love Our Schools’ organization purchased 100 copies of the book with 200 accompanying tickets, to be distributed to at-risk schools. Women of Wisdom has agreed to distribute the tickets and provide bus transportation for the recipients.
