LAFAYETTE, LA – Delta Media Corporation is thrilled to announce that the New Orleans Pelicans will be coming to Acadiana’s television screens for the 2024-25 NBA season.

Starting this season, all non-exclusively televised Pelicans games will be broadcast in Lafayette on The Action Channel KXKW 32.1. Fans can watch the excitement of Pelicans basketball—from Zion Williamson’s high-flying dunks to Trey Murphy’s game-changing three-pointers—free and over-the-air.

This partnership between Delta Media Corporation, the New Orleans Pelicans, and Gray Media’s Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network ensures that Acadiana viewers can enjoy regular-season games, beginning with the home opener on Wednesday, October 23rd against the Chicago Bulls. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. from the Smoothie King Center.

General Manager/VP Johnette Cochran expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “I approached Gray Media over a month ago and I am delighted that we have come to the agreement to carry the New Orleans Pelicans on one of our signals. KXKW 32.1 The Action Channel will be the home of the New Orleans Pelicans this year in Acadiana and I’m very pleased for this partnership.”

Gray Media will provide extensive team coverage throughout the season, including Pelicans pregame, halftime, and postgame shows. Returning to the broadcast team are Joel Meyers and Antonio Daniels for their 13th and 6th seasons, respectively. Meyers is a three-time Emmy Award winner, while Daniels, a former NBA player, brings 14 years of experience to the broadcast booth. Joining them is Andrew Lopez as the new sideline reporter. Lopez, a New Orleans native, has covered the NBA for ESPN and The Times-Picayune.

Erin Summers will host the studio shows, joined by new studio analyst Wesley Johnson, who played nine seasons in the NBA, including one with the Pelicans.
