The Acadiana music community lost an icon on Thursday.
Chris Stafford, one of the founding members of the Feufollet band, was killed in an auto accident on Pinhook Road Thursday morning.
Stafford, 36, was a four-time Grammy-nominated artist, playing with several different groups throughout Acadiana.
He was a well-known musician and highly respected, with many local musicians sharing messages of his passing.
Stafford’s music career began when he was a child, playing a variety of instruments throughout his young life.
Arrangements are pending at this time and the crash is currently under investigation.
